    Entrepreneurship with chartThe rewards of being your own boss are great, but so are the challenges. If you want to own your own business, Central Community College offers entrepreneurship education to help you develop the skills needed to get started. You can learn about opportunity analysis, marketing, finance, taxes, legal issues, and even develop a business plan.

    The Entrepreneurship Center at Central Community College offers workshops, seminars and other events to educate and promote business ownership in the communities that it serves.

    Shark Tank

    CCC’s Shark Tank is giving entrepreneurs the opportunity to showcase their business idea or product concept to a panel of business/investment people.

    Entrepreneurship Certificate

    A 12-semester-hour entrepreneurship certificate is included in the CCC business administration. You can complete the certificate as an area of specialization within the business administration program or as a stand-alone certificate to develop entrepreneurial skills and develop a business plan.

    A nine-semester-hour endorsement also is offered to provide basic entrepreneurship skills. Students in any CCC program who want to open their own business in the future can complete the certificate as part of their associate of applied science degree or diploma. Entrepreneurs can complete the three courses as a stand-alone certificate.

    CCC also offers the Entrepreneurs in Action program for high school students in the Columbus area.

    Small Business Incubator

    The Central Community College Foundation received some specific donations, micro loan funds, and grants to establish the  Small Business Institute (SBI) to encourage the formation of new, small businesses and to assist existing small businesses with growth opportunities.
